It’s been a bit since I first started this blog. I’ve intended to blog a couple times but just didn’t get around to it. I finally have a second so figured I take this opportunity to vent. Not exactly what I was originally gonna blog about but whatever, there’s plenty of time…
Here goes: This morning as I’m driving Dylan to school I’m stopped at the light on Marguerite and La Paz (heading towards La Paz from Crown Valley). I’m at the light in the outside left-hand turn lane. No cars are to my right so those lanes are open. I HEAR and SEE a Sherriff’s Dept. SUV barreling down the rode. He’s got open lanes next to me and his siren is blaring. Remember I have a red light so the cars on La Paz have a green. But those dumb-asses don’t have a CLUE. They are crossing over the intersection like nothing’s happening. The SUV gets closer and a lady in a mini-van goes into the intersection totally cutting off the SUV forcing him to slam on his breaks. Luckily there’s no accident and she’s all shocked when she finally notices she almost caused an accident.
Like 20 seconds later, after that SUV is down the rode, a police cruiser is coming up behind me but a lane over to my right. By this time cars have piled up to my right waiting for the light with me. Not one of those morons pulled over. I had a green arrow to turn left and the dude in front of me didn’t move. I had to get on my horn to get him to move to make room for the cruiser to get through. Mind you there were two lanes to my right that SHOULD have pulled over to make room but not one person moved.
Really people? Was I the only one paying attention in Driver’s Ed? Does the siren mean nothing these days? I don’t know if people are deaf, blind or just dumb but move the fuck over. I get knotted up inside thinking that the other end of that police officer’s route is someone in need; potentially life threatening and people who don’t move over drive me crazy.
Anyway, that’s the end of my vent…
And because I need to get in a better mood I’m including this song mainly because of the police siren in it, but it’ll help lighten my mood.
